Wearable Sculpture, Recyclable metals,  Process as form, Material intelligence, Material as language.

Hyojin Kim’s wearable sculptures extend beyond the conventions of contemporary jewelry, grounding their forms in the direct gestures of the hand. By pulling and layering a blend of beeswax and rosin, she allows making itself to become both method and motif.

Using natural materials and recycling all wax and metal, Kim minimizes waste and maintains a sustainable, process-led approach. Her reconstruction of discarded gemstone fragments further engages with questions of ethics and sustainability in the jewelry field, positioning her wearable works at the intersection of material responsibility and sculptural exploration.
